WHERE TRAINING ENDS AND INSIGHT BEGINS: Academic Thinking In Action

(Image: AngelFishPR - Pamela Nomzaza) Pamela Nomzaza ,  Regent Business School | Academic |   3 December 2025   Quick fixes are failing. Businesses invest in short courses and certificates, expecting transformation, yet return to the same problems months later. Pamela Nomzaza, Academic at  Regent Business School , argues this cycle reveals a fundamental misunderstanding about what prepares leaders for complexity. In this piece, she makes the case that training teaches “how” whilst academic education asks “why and what next”; and explains why that distinction matters for organisations facing relentless disruption. The greatest threat to business during periods of disruption is relying on surface-level solutions when depth is requir...

(picture: vuk'uzenzele.gov.za) Lurnay Tshabalala-Mavuso, Senior Reporter | CURRENT AFFAIRS | 28 May 2025  TSAKANE - Residents are fuming with anger and sadness as they express their sentiments and feelings on the poor service delivery that they are experiencing at Tsakane Magistrates' Court. They have expressed to Tsakane Informer that they have had enough of the court and the court's staff as they always have to beg and run behind the court staff's backs when they have to get service delivery. Among the complainants are elderly people who have filed for cases in the areas of Domestic Violence and in the Criminal department. Residents say that the court no longer serves them the justice that they deserve as cases are always being postponed and reminded for many dates with which when they return they are still getting no attention being given to them.  "The court must be closed because clearly there is no help that we are getting from it. The staff the...

EDITOR'S LETTER | (April Edition)

BE YOUR OWN MIRROR!!! DEFINE WHO YOU ARE  I've once learned somewhere that life is an ebb and flow of releasing and receiving hellos and goodbyes, and that phrase has stayed with me for a very long time. I have since known this phrase from my late high school years and to this day this phrase continues to reside in the archives of my mind. This phrase simply means that we meet different people for different reasons and even though those reasons are different, us having experienced meeting those people leave us with either good or bad experiences which help us in this life thing. Now I know that a lot of you, young or old probably wonder why is it that it hurts so much when someone leaves in our lives and the answer is simple even though it might be hard to take it but it is quite simple, that person has served their God given purpose into your life and it is time for them and you to move on. Though that moving on leaves you with not just sadness and memories but lessons...

Even as a gossip blogger or whatever he calls himself, there is an ethical way and route to take where you can get fact-proven information that is meant to be just gossip not image tarnishing or harmful.  Musa Khawula does not gossip but he writes things that seek to destroy people's lives and images they have worked so hard to build just so he can build an image for himself (which he did). Now he was found half naked in his lower body standing outside of his car while there was a man dressing up inside his car moving to the fron...
