Here we are introduced to a very established young man, Khotso Makoloane better known as Caliva. Caliva is a young man who is very popular on our social media platforms particularly on Facebook and TikTok. Though the introduction we were given of this young man is quite controversial, he has made it his task to re-introduce himself and give us Caliva Unfiltered.

Caliva was born and bred in the Eastern Cape in a town called Sterkspruit, even though he comes from a different province he was also raised in Gauteng, in the East Rand of Johannesburg in a township called, Kwa-Thema. Makoloane describes himself as a lover of people, reading and engaging in conversations. Being a motivational speaker as one of the many caps he wears, he is passionate about speaking and teaching on Personal Growth and Purpose, and he defines purpose as anything that brings one fulfillment in life.

"If your dreams do not scare you, then you are not dreaming enough." ~ Caliva

The young radio presenter, facilitator, freelance model, motivational speaker & mental health advocate shares that the key most important things that he admires most about himself is the love he has for people, his eagerness to always learn and his sense of self, which he deems is what keeps him true to himself as a media personality. He also expresses that he feels like his journey of pursuing a media career was a god-given direction since he realizes that the media industry is filled with entertainment instead of education, so he considers himself a catalyst for education within the entertainment and media fraternity.

Apart from his professional demeanor, he is a lover of coffee and enjoys watching a lot of sci-fi and romantic-comedy movies. He also shares that he is a lover of love and his language of love is physical touch, because he believes that as humans we need to embrace each other and be affectionate towards each other. In his possession, he always carries his phone, watch and a lip therapy which gives an idea of what kind of a person he is. A Gent as ladies would say.

"It is important to find a coping mechanism, and find someone to talk to, could be a friend, family member or find an NGO that works with mental health as one of its priority services.", he says as he advices young people who are going through mental health challenges.

As his words of encouragement to any young person who aspires to be like him or wants to chase their dreams. He encourages them to be authentic to themselves ensuring that they also appreciate every moment in their lives.
