  (Picture://cityofekurhuleni) Lurnay Tshabalala | Senior Reporter | Current Affairs | September 09, 2024  THE OUTCRY ON WATER OUT-GAGES  continues as residents of the City of Ekurhuleni are constantly in battle with their municipalities on the issue of water out-gages, but what they are not aware of is that its their usage of water and how they use water is what affects them and largely contributes to the many incidents of water out-gages which have been done by the city to help preserve and conserve water.  Even though this has affected a lot of businesses, households, farming organizations and schools especially with being behind with curriculum as they have to release the learners early because, the Department of Education's policy does not allow teachers to keep learners for long in a school that does not have water supply because of poor sanitation and water access which will expose learners to uncleanliness and at times to sickness caused by hygiene.
