EDITOR'S LETTER

Image
HELLO READERS!  I would first like to thank you for your kind support in reading and engaging with Tsakane Informer from the day it was established, launched and announced. The numbers are overwhelmingly beautiful, thank you so much!  Growing up I have always had a good knack for good stories and this was evidentiary to my teachers and peers in primary school, where I would suggest which stories to turn into plays even when they weren't plays. I have always had a skill of writing and narrating stories in a way that can be relatable to the people and in a simple manner where the approach to the story and the characters would just be a snap of fingers. I started reading from an early age, 5 years to be precise and this was driven by the fact that I wanted to learn English so badly that I spent most of my time in the community library reading, plus being bullied made me shift easily from the outside into my own world, which has always been books and fictional characters. I spent tim

OPINION | 'Ramaphosa held by horns over BELA Bill'

(picture://TheCitizen//)  Lurnay Tshabalala-Mavuso | Political Reporter | Politics | September 12, 2024  Ramaphosa finds himself being held by horns, as parties who are part of the GNU(Government of National Unity) and other opposition parties, are against the Basic Education Laws Amendment (BELA) Bill that is to be signed publicly by him tomorrow , 13 September 2024 at the Union Buildings. The signing ceremony was announced on the 11th of September by the office of the Presidency on their media site. From then this has had the likes of Steenhuisen and many others unsettled and unhappy as they are in a fight to have the bill not signed by the President.  DA's John Steenhuisen has expressed to the media that he is not happy and not in support too of this signing of the Bill. This causes a hiccup to the coalition as parties who form the GNU are questioning the intention of this signing. By many including Steenhuisen, this is viewed as Ramaphosa's way of showing them that he and

GOD EXISTS IN EACH AND EVERYONE OF US. HE IS WITHIN US

(Picture://gracelifechurch) Lurnay Tshabalala-Mavuso | Senior Reporter | Faith & Spirituality | September 09, 2024  GOD IS IN YOU IN AS MUCH HE IS IN ME. Christian faith is very much underrated and not loved by many because there is mainly not much understanding on what Christianity is and what it is that it truly requires from its people (believers and followers of Christ). There are many doctrines under the branch of Christianity and church culture too also plays a key role in promoting all the aims and objectives of living and leading a Christ-like life. However each and every church has their own order of doing things and applying the laws of God.  It is absolutely no dispute that we live in times and generations that are far different from the times of the bible, but as Christians or rather children of God, we are ought to learn and pick inspiration from the bible and from bible characters. Learn the laws of God from it and also learn from the lives, triumphs and mistakes of

[WATER CRISIS], CITY OF EKURHULENI URGES RESIDENTS TO CONSERVE WATER DURING THIS SPRING SEASON

Image
(Picture://cityofekurhuleni) Lurnay Tshabalala | Senior Reporter | Current Affairs | September 09, 2024  THE OUTCRY ON WATER OUT-GAGES  continues as residents of the City of Ekurhuleni are constantly in battle with their municipalities on the issue of water out-gages, but what they are not aware of is that its their usage of water and how they use water is what affects them and largely contributes to the many incidents of water out-gages which have been done by the city to help preserve and conserve water.  Even though this has affected a lot of businesses, households, farming organizations and schools especially with being behind with curriculum as they have to release the learners early because, the Department of Education's policy does not allow teachers to keep learners for long in a school that does not have water supply because of poor sanitation and water access which will expose learners to uncleanliness and at times to sickness caused by hygiene.
