KUWUSUKU olubaluleke kakhulu kwelase Ningizimu-Afrika. Usuku lokubungaza indabuko kanye namasiko abantu abenzinhlanga ezahlukene kuleli. Ngenkathi yobandlululo kwadaleka isehlukaniso esikhulu sobuciko babantu abantsundu, kanti ke loku kwadala enkulu ingxabano phakathi kwezinhlanga ezahlukene zabantsundu, kakhulukazi phakhathi kwesizwe sakwa-Zulu kanye nesizwe samaXhosa. Engingeke ngingene kakhulu emininingwaneni yakhona ngoba ngangingekho ngaleso sikhathi, kanti futhi engikwaziyo kungamahlebezi engiwezwe ngo gogo no mkhulu enginganaso nesiqiniseko sokuthi ngempela lokhu abangitshela kona kwaku yikho na.

Lolu suku ekuqaleni lwalaziwa nge - King Shaka Day. Lapho kwaku khunjulwa khona inkosi yesizwe sakwa-Zulu, uShaka owayezalwa yinkosi uSenzangakhona kaJama. Ukushintsha lolusuku, kwabangwa wukuthi lolusuku lwalubungaza uhlangothi olulodwa lwendabuko yesizwe sakwa-Zulu, kanti kunezinye izinhlanga ezinamasiko nazo khona lapha eNingizimu. Kulapho ke usuku lwanamhlanje lwaqala lwahlanganisa izinhlanga zonke, ukuze kususwe ingcindezi yakudala eyadalwa abamhlophe. Lolu suku luhlanganisa lezinhlanga ngaphansi kwegama lo Buntu, elidume ngesisho esithi "Umuntu ngumuntu, ngabantu", loku kuchaza ukuthi singabantu sonke siyadingana ukuze sikwazi ukuphilisana kahle futhi sihlalisane kahle. Yize noma inkathi yamanje ingasefani nenkathi yase Mandulo. Lolu suku luyisikhumbuzo sokuthi siyizinhlanga ezahlukene kufanele sihlangane sonke egameni lobuntu kanye nokubambisana ekulweseni izimpi ezibangwa yimimoya noma abantu bangaphandle, abeze ezweni lethu ngokungekuhle. 

Ngithanda ke ukugqugquzela abantu bakithi ukuthi mabaluthokozele lolu suku, futhi bafundise nentsha yanamuhla ngokubaluleka kwamasiko, indabuko kanye nobuciko. Ukuze nabo bakwazi ukubaluleka kwalolusuku baphinde bafunde kabanzi ngamasiko abo nendabuko yabo yemvelo, engikholelwa ukuthi kuyokwenza abantu bazazi baphinde bazikhumbule ngankathi zonke ukuba bona baqhamuka kuphi futhi bangobani. Ngaze ngakhumbula ugogo wami osewadlula emhlabeni, waye thanda ukuthi, "Emhlabeni akufanelanga uphile ungazazi ukuthi uyisidikiselo saliphi ibhodwe", ayekuqondile wukuthi, empilweni kufanele uzazi ukuthi uwubani, wakwabani, uzalwa kuphi, wubani futhi kanjani. Lokho kuyokwakha futhi kuphinde kuku qinisekise enhlizweni, ukwazi ukuthi wena uyingane yakwabani futhi eqhamuka kuphi, ukuze uphinde wazi nezimfundiso ozitholile ekhaya lapho uphuma khona.
