[TSAKANE INFORMER COVER], Songstress and Vocal Angel - Brenda Mtambo

BRENDA MNTAMBO, A MUSICAL ICON.

__________________________________________________________________________________

BORN IN EMPANGENI AND RAISED IN UMLAZI IN THE KZN (KwaZulu-Natal), Brenda Mtambo being the musical angel she is, was raised by strict grandparents and she had the realization of her singing talent when she was in primary school, Grade 1, she sang during school assembly leading a lot of songs. Mtambo shares that she was quite shy but through singing she could be whatever she wanted to be and freely express herself.

Mtambo is a mother of two beautiful children, Zuri and Zion. Apart from just being in her musical element she is a proud mother and a lover of having peaceful and quiet time. Mtambo shared with Mail & Guardian that she loves to go out and eat at her favourite restaurant - Tashas and when she gets there she enjoys good meals like Sushi.

HER MUSIC CAREER

Mtambo sang with the popular gospel group, Joyous Celebration for 10 years and then later started doing backing vocals for so many popular artists in South Africa like, Thandiswa Mazwai, Sibongile Khumalo, Judith Sephuma, Lira, and Jonas Gwangwa to mention a few.

Mtambo has 3 released albums to her name, the latest one being SANE, a beautiful and relational album that one can listen to and feel themselves singing along and mimic'ing the vocals of her angelic voice. "I've been open about my struggle with chronic anxiety. I have anxiety that is inherited, because my mother suffered mental health issues, so I got anxiety. I don't feel like i have to be sad or in a miserable space to feel it. It just happens. It is in my nervous system.", said Mtambo to TshisaLive.

SANE is an album about healing and her fans continue to be in support of her as the album is still being talked about even to this day. Among many of her work, Mtambo continues to inspire people and help people heal through her music. One of my favourite songs on the SANE album is Bhaluyacima. The song talks about love and disappointment caused by an indecisive partner, who even when they are disappointing, they are still loved by their significant other. Through this song Mtambo flaunts her angelic vocals, making the song a hit, together with many other tracks on the album. I believe it's safe to say that Mtambo is a musical genius and a musical angel, a true and authentic African sound, rich in its power and its beauty.

WHAT MANY DON'T KNOW ABOUT BRENDA MTAMBO

Mtambo is a lover of red wine and loves to watch movies that are about love. This says a lot about her since her music tells us about her energy being a lover of love and a lover of life. Mtambo enjoys being indoors and going out to places like Newton because she expressed that she loves and enjoys live music.

The Santiago hit maker, studied BCom Accounting and this was because she grew up poor and wanted to change her and her family's life through education. Having not planned to embark on a musical career God led her to her true destiny and gifted us the gift of having access to her angelic sound and its powerful melodies. Mtambo is a powerhouse. Having the music experience and expertise she has. She has continued to rise above all and in all her risings, she became a queen of musical excellence. What she exudes is a powerful and spiritual energy which I believe is the one that draws us closer to her each and every time we experience her performing and singing. Even though I haven't seen or experienced her perform live, but I plan to and already I feed off great energy from her.

As South Africa and the world, we are very lucky to have someone of your calibre Sis Brenda. Thank you for inspiring us and healing us through your music and performances. Sibonga asiphezi Mtambo omuhle. May God continue to bless you in abundance in all aspects of your life and spiritual being. MAKWANDE!

ATM BOMBINGS CONTINUE TO RISE - GELUKSDAL SHELL GARAGE

picture source :// News24 Lurnay Tshabalala-Mavuso | Editor-In-Chief | NEWS | 19 JUNE 2024  ATM BOMBINGS have become more popular and common particularly in Tsakane and other surrounding areas in around Ekurhuleni. Today early in the AMs, the Shell Garage in Geluksdal road was attacked by unidentifiable and un-numbered robbers. This has been an on-going conversation later in the day on social media and around the community of Tsakane. Residents have been shaken by the gunshots they have heard and they have a lot to say and luckily for us as Tsakane Informer we've got a reliable source who shared their experience on the incident that happened.  Here's what they had to say, "It was in the early hours of 02:38, I was turning at the robots next to the garage, as I was working a night-shift doing emergency deliveries, I did not see the robbers though the guy who was firing shots at my car was just next to the robots, I guess he was scouting and when...
