DUMI MKOKSTAD

A talented and gifted South African Gospel Artist. Mdumiseni Nzimande aka Dumi Mkokstad who has released one of the most endearing gospel albums - THE OVERFLOW (Gcwala Kimi). A must listen album, I tell you. One of my favourite song on the album is Vumb'elimnandi which is a song of praise, adoration and connecting with God. I believe that this album is a gift to all the fans of Dumi and that this album will bring healing, a greater connection to God and will be a better praising buddy for a christian who loves praising God.

MARK BEHR - THE SMELL OF APPLES

Professor Mark Behr, a Tanzanian born Writer who grew up in South Africa. He was a professor of English Literature and Creative Writing at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. He taught in the MA program at the University of Witwatersrand. In this book, Prof Behr describes the Afrikaner mentality in apartheid South Africa through the eyes of his main character, Marnus an 11-year old boy who is the son of an army general. This book has won many awards and was first published in Afrikaans and then later translated into English. The Smell of Apples, is a very much triggering book yet at the very same time very much intriguing and grapping as Prof Behr allows Marnus to let us wonder in his brain as he grows and sees the world especially during the apartheid era. You can find this book at any bookstore, but I would suggest that you order it at Jonathan Ball Publishers. They have a way of getting you any book you want at affordable prices.
