ADVOCATE DALI MPOFU is one of the celebrated and highly respected legal minds in South Africa. One that I as a fellow learned jurist, respect and celebrate too, however seeing his post on X today 2 hours ago made me wonder. Do not get me wrong I understand the dynamics of South African politics and I really understand his capacity too as not just a legal professional but a politician who serves under the EFF(Economic Freedom Fighters), a political party led by none other than the celebrated politician and king of controversy - Julius Malema a Commander In Chief.

Now about the post. Advocate Mpofu called President Cyril Ramaphosa a criminal and by my own analysis I marry that with the EFF's new obsession called PHALA-PHALA. You can find the post on this link  https://x.com/AdvDali_Mpofu/status/1802952968062255349

In my own opinion, Advocate Mpofu as a legal professional and a legal mind should know better than to go on to a popular social media platform and call the president of the country a criminal, knowing very well the kind of following his has on his platforms and the influence he has. Even as a politician it is very much not acceptable. Also I am sitting here and asking myself WHAT HAPPENED TO INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY?, because I do not remember hearing or reading in a newspaper that President Ramaphosa has been found guilty of the $580, 000 in cash stolen from his farm. As a legal professional, Mpofu has no right to call or refer the President of the republic to a criminal, even with us as SA citizens having the constitutional right to FREEDOM OF SPEECH, that does not mean or give anyone a right to publicly humiliate anyone, let alone the President of the country in that manner.

I strongly believe that the EFF has felt the power to trample over President Ramaphosa too much because they now that he is too calm and kind, and wouldn't want to file lawsuits against the EFF because he has no time for drama. He utilizes all his time to ensure that the country is led in the best deserving way.

So Advocate Mpofu should know better and do better and be a good example to the citizens, aspirant legal professionals and legal professionals.
