THE DA(Democratic Alliance) has suspended their new member of parliament Renaldo Gouws with immediate effect as videos of him uttering racist and homophobic remarks 15 years ago were raised by many people include political analysts like Jamie Mighti from Africa Research Desk. This has been a long controversial train on the news and on social media especially on X, where Gouws' answer to all this is that he is being hated for nothing.

These videos are surfacing now as he has been sworn in as the member of the parliament of the Republic of South Africa under the National Assembly's 7th administration. On the video that has been circulating on social media, Gouws repeatedly used the K word and the N words, which are humiliating terms used during the apartheid era to discriminate and humiliate black people.

In the video, Gouws says : "Alright so there's a couple of things I want to say. Kill the f**ing k*ffirs, kill ass the f***ing n*ggers. That's all I gotta f***ing say. Kill all the k*ffirs! Kill all the f***ing n*ggers!"

As the video continues to circulate. There was a petition calling for his removal from parliament on Change.org, the petition that grew bigger with more than 50,000 signatures in support of the removal of Gouws as the member of parliament. According Daily Maverick, the petition was started by Kimberly Jones and was used by the DA's federal council to build a strong case against him.

While on X, Verashni Pillay who also served as a member of the DA came for the DA leader - John Steenhuisen for giving Gouws a slap on the wrist by a suspension. In the tweet she says : " How interesting @jsteenhuisen.. you were far less gracious towards me when I was younger and had made mistakes. You demanded I resign or be fired. Renaldo has said and done worse. Different strokes for different folks? Or is racism only an issue when white people are affected?,

This was said after Pillay saw a video on X by IOL News in which the DA leader John Steenhuisen responds to the DA MP Renaldo Gouws saga. Saying that Gouws was young and irresponsible and now acknowledges his "racist" remarks. Furthermore, Hellen Zille told News 24, "If the video is found to be true, it's over for him. He will be removed as an MP. Such language is unjustifiable and unacceptable. I don't see how such offensive language can be justified", said Zille. While on Wednesday, DA members told Daily Maverick that the party had roped in experts to authenticate one video in which Gouws repeatedly calls South Africans the K word and the N word.

Gouws who has a YouTube channel with a thousands of subscribers. Has been sharing quite a number of commentaries on racism. politics and many other things. Though one of his latest and recent commentaries on his channel is that of MamaJoy, South Africa's number1 fan and sports teams supporter. He raised quite good and valid points on the expenditure of the Department of Sports and Recreation spending millions for 2 superfans to travel around the world for free while there are many things that the department could use those funds for which are far more valuable than supporting the desires of 2 superfans who happen to be at the right place and at the right time as he says on his video titled - MAMA JOYRIDE | South Africa (2024)

The South African Human Rights Commission has issued a statement following the video circulating on the news and social media platforms where Gouws uses derogatory words referring to South Africans of colour as the K word and the N word and on their statement the SAHRC say that they have concluded that the utterances allegedly made by Gouws constitute hate speech and/or harassment as contemplated in terms of sections 10 and 11 of the Promotion of Equality and Prevention of Unfair Discrimination Act 2000.  The SAHRC will be filing a lawsuit against Renaldo Gouws at the Equality Court. They mention that they wont let this slide.

And the brawl continues as Gouws still trends on social media. TSAKANE INFORMER
