GUNSHOTS SPLITS THE WRONG TURNS

By Lurnay Tshabalala-Mavuso | Entertainment | 11 December 2022

AFTER giving the viewers an astounding performance through the character of Asanda Ndungange on Diepcity channel 161 Mzansi Magic, Zikhona Bali one of the country's best performers exits the show in a tragic incident, one that many would say it's a "Heist Gone Wrong", shots were fired at Asanda right after she and her squad - The Wrong turns, were nearly successful with the heist. On the Thursday episode the episode ended with Asanda being shot at by one of the guards guarding the money van, and on the Friday episode Asanda was then presumed dead at a hospital, after her friends, Nox (Nozuko Ntshangase), Snenhlanhla (Nompumelelo Vilakazi) and Lerato (Kgaogelo Monama), tried to save her life by resuscitating her.

The Thursday and Friday episodes have the viewers going mad as they witnessed the painful and sad exit of Mam'mfundisi Asanda, played by Zikhona Bali. Others proceed to tweet in cry for Pastor Charleston, played by the talented Chrispen Nyathi, who is also considered a blessing to the South African and African television screens. The viewers also sympathize with Sne, played by Nompumelelo Vilakazi, who was a very supportive friend to Asanda, who helped her throughout the recovery process as Asanda was recovering from Nyaope, a character that she also murdered to the very core. The viewers are sad to say goodbye to the character that motivated, inspired and taught some many people about life as underprivileged people.

But because we understand that Zikhona is a performer we say, Ndlela nhle kuwe Sisi, thank you for such an astounding performance, thank you for teaching and impacting lives through your character and craft. Makwande kukhanye ngakuwe.

We still set to see what will transpire as Pastor Charleston processes the news of the passing of her beloved fiancée, and Mam'mfundisi. We also applaud the two duo for giving us a wonderful performance as a religious couple faced with the imperfections of the world. Another round of applause goes to Nompumelelo Vilakazi, on playing a supportive role as Asanda's best friend who went through all the ups and downs with her.
